Mounting shelf on wall
l wanna mount a bookshelf on the wall next to my table. The shelf will hold
a decent bit of weight, in terms of textbooks and novels. l know the idea
would be to find the wooden studs and nail in the shelf against that, but
after looking at the studs, they seem very weak and do not think they
would be able to support the weight of the shelf + books. What should l
do?
The studs hold up the floor above. They are much stronger than
the shelf, or the shelf bracket. However, I'd use screws rather than
nails. Hope this helps.
