The bottom shelf of my freezer won't pull out.
l have a Hotpoint frost free freezer. Unfortunately the bottomshelf sticks
and l have problems pulling it out. If l pull hard this either drops
sideways or it comes forward and the contents drop onto the floor.
/>It would appear that the supports which are on the body of the freezer
are failing to support this shelf. The shelf is lacking in depth because
the motor is behind this. l have contacted Hotpoint and they cannot
resolve this. If this was a wooden drawer l would smear the edges with a cold candle to ensure that it would slide out without problems. Unfortunately l think that if l used this on my freezer the smell of the candle would transfer to the contents of my freezer, perhaps not. However l don’t wanna risk contaminating the contents of my fridge. It would be fantastic if l could buy tiny runners to help, or something which l can apply to help me to pull out the drawer. Ideas and help please. />D.W. why waste space with a stupid answer. l am going to try butter before l choose my best answer. Thanks so far.
try this, when you have it out clean it up well and run some
butter or margerine along where it runs. That shouldn't make your fridge
smell
We too have a Hotpoint frost free. Our bottom draw sticks to the
ice free build up there!!!!??? lifting it in a uphill jerk releases ours!!
Gotta say Hotpoint won't be our next choice!!! If we hadn't had it extra
covered via Masterplan we would have re mortgaged the house by now.
kick it lol :)
